Zoe Saldana's parents Asalia as well as Aridio Saldana, were born on the 19th of June 1977 in Passaic New Jersey. Her father is Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. Her parents raised her in Queens, New York. The family she was born into went to Dominican Republic at the age of 10, and there they would spend the next seven year. Zoe discovered a love for dancing while in the Dominican Republic. Her first training was in the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study ballet and other forms of dance.
